Purpose:

This report seeks approval from the Director of Environment and Sustainability under delegated authority of the Cabinet Member for a Sustainable Camden; to implement experimental “pop up” cycle lane infrastructure on St Pancras Way (between Wilmot Place and Pancras Road) to improve safety for both current, and an anticipated increased number of, people cycling as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

 

The proposals meet the objectives of Our Camden Plan by creating clean, vibrant and sustainable places and making it easier for people to travel more by foot or bike.

 

 

Decision:

THAT the Director of Environment and Sustainability, having considered the objectives set out in the Report ‘COVID-19 response: enabling safe travel in Camden’, approves the proposals for the “pop up” cycle lane scheme on St Pancras Way as set out in section 2 of this report.
