An apology for absence was received from Councillor Siân Berry.

Councillors Alison Kelly and Leila Roy both declared for transparency that they held Freedom Passes.

There were none.

There was no urgent business.

To approve and sign the public minutes of the meeting held on 7^th June 2017.

RESOLVED –

THAT the public part of the minutes of the meeting held on Wednesday 7^th June 2017 be approved and signed as a correct record.

It is drawn to the attention of members that the papers listed below are considered to be exempt within the meaning of paragraph 1 of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended). The Panel will be asked to pass the following resolution, the effect of which will be to exclude the public and press from the remaining part of the proceedings:

THAT the press and public be excluded from the proceedings of Accessible Transport Appeals Panel A during consideration of items 7 and 8 on the agenda on the grounds that it is likely, in view of the nature of the business to be transacted, that were members of the public to be present, there would be disclosure of exempt information as defined in Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended) and that the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing the information.

Specifically -

Publicity in respect of items 7 and 8 would be likely to lead to the disclosure of information relating to any individual by virtue of Category 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended).

RESOLVED –

THAT the press and public be excluded from the proceedings of the Accessible Transport Appeals Panel A during consideration of items 7 and 8 on Part II of this agenda on the grounds that it is likely, in view of the nature of the proceedings, that were members of the public to be present there would be disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 1 of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended) and that the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing the information. Specifically publicity in respect of items 7 and 8 would be likely to lead to the disclosure of information relating to any individual.

To consider the exempt part of the minutes of the meeting held on 7^th June 2017.

To consider the appeal of A against the decision of the Executive Director Supporting People not to award them a Taxicard.

This report contains information exempt within the meaning of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972 and is not for publication. This has therefore been circulated to Panel Members only.

Consideration was given to the appeal of A against the decision of the Executive Director Supporting People not to award them a Taxicard.

RESOLVED –

THAT the appeal be rejected.

Reasons

The Panel was of the view that, based on the evidence before it, the appellant did not meet the criteria for the award of a Taxicard.

There was none.
