Decision on Agreed Syllabus To decide whether to adopt the Westminster version of Hampshire syllabus “Living Difference” as Camden’s Agreed Syllabus.
Additional documents: Minutes: Consideration was given to the “Living Difference” syllabus, which was the Westminster version of Hampshire’s latest syllabus.
Members praised the syllabus but noted that some teachers had been concerned that not enough time was set aside for Religious Education to comprehensively go through the syllabus.
Members noted that there would be a launch event later in the year for the new syllabus. They wanted to ensure that as large a number of teachers were involved as possible, and that those who were not subject specialists were given assistance. They wanted to see training courses on the new syllabus included in the training programme that Camden Learning produced.
Members from Panels A, B and C voted by Panel on whether to approve the new agreed syllabus. All three groups agreed that they wished to approve it.
RESOLVED –
THAT “Living Difference” be approved as the Agreed Syllabus for Camden.
