Purpose:

To agree to the award of the construction contract for the Town Hall refurbishment.

Decision:

RESOLVED –

 

(i)        THAT the award of a construction contract to Lendlease Construction to undertake the refurbishment and remodelling of Camden Town Hall as previously approved by Cabinet be agreed;

 

(ii)       THAT the income streams generated will be used to pay for the initial capital investment;

 

(iii)      THAT authority be delegated to the Executive Director Corporate Services to make all decisions necessary to agree and conclude the final terms of the contract, including but not limited to:

 

a.        Concluding the final terms of the contract and enter into it on behalf of the Council

b.            Agreeing provisional sums and risk sharing for costs where appropriate as set out in 4.2 to 4.4

c.            Agreeing final marketing strategies, selection of tenants, and detailed terms for the leased office space including the small and medium-sized enterprise incubator space and thereafter entering into to all necessary legal agreements.
