RESOLVED –

 

(i)                 THAT authority be delegated to the Director of Housing and Adult Social Care to tender and appoint a multi-disciplinary design team to take the phased redevelopment of Bacton Low Rise and the DHO site to detailed planning stage (RIBA Stage D/E), as set out at Section 6 of this report;

(ii)               THAT it be noted that a further report will be brought to Cabinet in due course to propose indicative design, tenure mix, funding arrangements, the submission of a detailed planning application and the contract award strategy;

(iii)             THAT the development of a local lettings policy be agreed in consultation with local residents to facilitate delivery of the project;

(iv)              THAT the hard work and commitment of the Bacton Low Rise Tenants and Residents Association in leading the consultation of local residents be noted and that they be commended for their positive and pro-active approach to the development of the project.
