This report seeks approval, following public consultation to:
Construct four new raingardens which will help alleviate pressure from the existing drainage network, providing groundwater to attenuate into the ground.
Upgrade an existing zebra crossing to a parallel crossing including continuous footways which would aid and improve pedestrian and cycling priority across both Priory Road and Kilburn Priory, and install a new southbound cycle contra flow facility along Priory Terrace.
The scheme also proposes to extend parking restrictions on Belsize Road to improve road safety, visibility, and bus reliability and make permanent the temporary zebra crossing at the junction of Priory Terrace and Belsize Road.
The proposals would meet the objectives of We Make Camden by improving biodiversity, reducing the impacts of flooding, and responding to the impacts of climate change. These proposals will also improve cycle safety and help improve bus reliability.
THAT the Director of Environment and Sustainability, subject to compliance with relevant statutory requirements, approves the following:

b) Junction improvements to aid cycle movements including proposals to upgrade an existing zebra crossing to a parallel crossing.
c) Construction of continuous footways improving pedestrian priority across Priory Road / Kilburn Priory
d) Removal of one 5m parking bay located within Priory Terrace at the junction of Belsize Road to be replaced by a new Rain Garden.
e) Removal of 9m of resident permit holders parking bay space located adjacent to the eastern footway on Priory Road to be replaced with a new Rain Garden
