The
Appointment Panel interviews for and offers all permanent positions
of employment at the level of Executive Director and Director,
including the Chief Executive. The Panel will also make any
temporary appointments of Executive Directors and Directors that
are in excess of 6 months.
The
Panel's role includes the short listing of candidates, although
this function can be delegated to officers within the Council. The
Panel for each appointment will be made up of no more than 8
Members and reflect the current political balance of the
Council.
